"THE S.S. NORWAY"
(originally the S.S. France)

This is a one of a kind, possibly the only true original  model in the world,
hand made from the ship's refit plans & presented to the owner of
Norwegian Cruise Line as a prototype, which was displayed in
their corporate office in Norway since the late 70's/early 80's.

Also know as the
"BLUE LADY"
She was originally the S.S France built at Penhoet Shipyards, St Nazaire
for Compagine Generale Transatlantique Line , & launched
by Madame Charles De Gaulle May 11th, 1960.

Due to the decrease in passenger traffic from air transportation she was sold to
an Arab billionaire, who then in turn sold it to Mr. Lauritz Kloster, owner
of Norwegian Cruise Line.
The ship was sent to Bremerhaven, Germany where it was converted from
a transport to a Tropical Cruise Ship, adding additional decks, new engines, &
a tropical interior.
The new ship became a great success, fueled also by the show
"THE LOVE BOAT"
This Grand vessel was a smash & the largest in the world next to
the Queen Elizabeth II.
Today she sits in the sand at the Alang Ship breaking Yard on India's
North West Coast awaiting her fate.
Once hazardous asbestos is safely removed from her hull she will be cut for scrap.

The model is 49" long, made of handcrafted wood, & electrified to light
up in the dark.
100% Original, I purchased this model directly from the line, & had it
crated & flown in from Norway, through the agent in India who is negotiating
the fate of the Blue Lady with the Indian Government.

The unit has had a small amount of restoration due to shipping but
is in 99% like new condition. I personally re attached all parts
removed or loosened from shipping & guarantee its authenticity.
