"RUSSIAN MILITARY STAR/CONSTELLATION FINDER"

An original, Russian Military Boxed Star Finder.
A very nice, and somewhat hard to find collector item from our
"COLD WAR ERA"
The globe is a beautiful blend of orange and red colors similar to a
dynamic sunrise, displaying the location of prominent
stars and constellations.
The globe can be rotated in a three dimensional method, around the equator, and prime meridian.
The box is made of hardwood, oak or similar, and the scales around the globe
are solid nickel plated brass.
This item was used to locate the most prominent stars to be used in conjunction with a
"SEXTANT"
to locate the ships latitude and general position.
Their are attached cards inside the case with calibration/certification,
and instructions written in Russian.
The outside of the case has aluminum tags with dated serial numbers.
