R.M.S. QUEEN MARY
SPECIAL VOYAGE DINNER MENU

 

A three part dinner menu for the first voyage of the
"WAR BRIDES & THERE CHILDREN"
to America after the end of World War II.
Saturday, February 2nd, 1946
The top of the menu has a photo of the queenship being escorted
by tugs as it was launched on the Clyde River from the ship builders yard,
John Brown & Company, Clydebank, Scotland.

The center is a dedication from the captain
"I SEND YOU MY BEST WISHES FOR YOUR HAPPINESS AND
GOOD FORTUNE IN YOUR NEW LIFE IN THE GREAT
COUNTRY OF YOUR ADOPTION"

The bottom is the meal served, February 2nd, 1946,
the menu was not issued by class, as they were treated as
first class regardless of actual deck location.
