"WAITING FOR THE TIDE"

A beautiful pair of original late 19th century oil on board depicting indians
waiting for the tide to come in to set out for their daily catch.
Beautiful colors and detail framed in their original, old and very delicate,
ebony lacquer coated, plaster over wood frames.
Both oils have a signature on the lower right hand side which blends
so well with the art their almost un-noticeable without a close look.
Artist information unknown.
Each measures 13" Long x 10 1/2" High
The artwork itself is
9" Long x 6 1/2" High

"INDIAN SEASCAPE"

A beautiful , turn of the 20th century, seascape depicting Indians setting
out for their daily catch.
Very similar to item FCPOA-5
The art is oil on board, framed in a very ornate Victorian
gold leaf, plaster over wood frame.
The artwork has been cleaned & the frame refinished to like new condition.
The art as displayed is an oval 9" long x 7 1/4" high
The frame is 14 3/4" long x 12 3/4" high x 2" deep
The art is unsigned however truly
a very nice decorative fixture!!!

"BEAUTIFUL SWITZERLAND"

A unique piece of original oil art, on canvas, on board,  of a Swiss
Steamship proceeding down a river , among the great mountains
of Switzerland, approaching a chapel named,
and dedicated to the famous
"WILLIAM TELL"
Signed and dated
P. Hofmann, 1949
The back or the art has a tag that states:
PAUL HOFMANN, KUNSTMALER, AUERBACK I.V.
HINTER, WEG 17
TITLE: SHONE SCHWEITZ
MOTIV: TELL CHAPEL
TECKNIK: OL FARBE
GRUNDMATRIEL: SPEIRHOLZ MIT LEINWAND

Which translates basically to the artist name, address, & title
"BEAUTIFUL SWITZERLAND"
The Motive:
"WILLIAM TELL CHAPEL"
The Technique & Material:
"OIL ON CANVAS ON BOARD"
The artist is believed to have been a listed artist from
the region however detailed information is unknown.
The unframed work is
19 1/2" Long x 15 3/4" High
In good condition for its age with some wear around the edges where it
appears to have been framed at one time.
