HAND CARVED MERMAID SCULPTURES

 Beautiful hand carved wooden mermaid sculptures made by
seamen aboard sail ships of the late 19th century.
Exceptional detail in all areas, the artist was quite gifted who carved these
wonderful works, & although the pairs looks quite similar, each is slightly different.
Others are free standing single units.
These are one of a kind items which cannot be replaced ,or purchased
anywhere else.

BRASS & COPPER FISHING DOCK SCULPTURE"

An original, hand made,  and hand bronze patinated, brass and copper fishing dock sculpture,
with a small rowboat, and its fishing equipment.
Extremely detailed work, using copper wire to create rope, hammered tubing  and wire
to create a lobster trap, oars ,and other equipment, including a small
turtle crawling on the stone base coated with sea sand, and sealed to
give the effect of a wet sandy bottom.
The artist went as far to create holes in the dock pilings, to
create a very natural weathered  wood look.
Signed and hand engraved on the front starboard side of the boat
