Liberty Ship
Binnacle Stand Compass & Engine Order Telegraph.
The binnacle was manufactured by the
"LIONEL CORPORATION"
NEW YORK

under contract with the famous
compass designer & marketer
"KELVIN WHITE COMPANY"
BOSTON / NEW YORK
The unit is a beautiful combination
of slatted mahogany panels,
bronze, & brass with its
original 8" diameter fully functional liquid compass,
navigators balls, findlers
tube, inclinometer, & access doors.
The unit stands 52" high &
34" wide from Ball to Ball.
The oval glass face is 9" x
12"
Findlers tube is 24 1/4" H x
2 1/2" D
Inclinometer is 3 1/2"
diameter & marked

The pedestal is 14" in diameter
& the base is 17 1/4" square.
The unit is in its original
condition, the wood has not been refinished, &
the brass/bronze has its natural
patina.
A beautiful & historic item
of our World War II era in excellent
& fully functional condition

The telegraph is a very hard
to find & wonderful piece
of U.S Workmanship, made of
bronze, brass & enameled porcelain.

faces were made by the famous
"LENOX CHINA CO"
MADE IN U.S.A
The unit is in excellent condition
for its age, all 100% original, with its operational
bells & near perfect face
plates & markings.
The unit stands 43 1/2" high,
47" with handles upright, & 11" diameter face.
Weight 67 pounds

item of our World War II era.
This style telegraph was used
on the recent film
"THE SAND PEBBLES"
their is a scene on the bridge
of the ship where the unit can be seen
clearly with all its markings!!!
