I just cannot explain, and the
photos do not do the vessel justice,
how overwhelming , Cunard's

The Queenship arrives at Pier
88, to meet up with her younger sister, The Queen Mary,
shortly before 7:00am, photo
taken from the cross over ramp to
The Intrepid Air & Sea Museum,
12th Ave & 46th Sts.
A little past 7:00 am, the tugs
begin the wide swing of the QE2 into her berth, while the
New York Harbor Patrol, and
The Coast Guard, with both ships and
helicopters keep tight watch
of her every move.
The two "Queen Sisters" together,
the first time ever in New York, and
over 40 years since the
QM1 and the QE1 met.
The Moran Tugs finish their
job, and the Queenship blows her horn, which
resonates off New York's Skyscrapers,
and lets New York know
she's arrived!!!

On Sunday @ 9:00 pm the Queen
Mary sets out for home, and is
given a "Royal Send Off" under
a sky of fireworks, as thousands watched.
The following are clips from
the Daily News of her sendoff.
Security was very tight and
unless you were with the press, close up
photos were impossible to get.
We were just so glad to get
these photos for all our visitors to view!!!
Only a few are shown above,
however over 40 were taken, mostly
similar as the ship progressed.
Hope you enjoy!!!
